Description:
This charter is for people who want to have a go at some real Wellington fishing and have a good time. . It is usually general bottom fishing but can be spinning or jigging and every effort is made to connect you with some good fish.
Most trips are relaxed but with a focus on getting a good catch. For a more laid back day out we can change our attitude and cruise out, have a cup of tea or a beer catch a few fish or some paua then return at a respectable time. Going ashore somewhere to explore is a possibility.
Trips run all year round out of Titahi Bay (Porirua City) and head out to the Makara coast, places like Hunter bank, and many other spots off Wellington's stunning west coast. If the northwester is blowing we can launch off the south coast which is also spectacular and has a more rugged beauty.
The boat Felix is a fast Pelin is purpose built for diving or fishing with a top MSA safety rating. She is an aluminium catamaran and very seaworthy. There are many spots on the GPS, giving you access to the wide range of fish species in the Wellington area.
Tarakihi and blue cod can be caught year round and can be a regular catch on most trips. Delicious snapper can be targeted from November to May. We can go out fishing for Groper if the weather is good and we often get a good catch. Shark fishing is also great for sport or fun, we do often catch sharks.
