Description:
If you own a 4WD and have never had the opportunity to use it offroad, if you've dabbled a bit but were never sure how to get the best out of your vehicle, then this course is for you. You'll not only learn how to use all the built in features of your vehicle, but you'll learn about off-road driving in many different conditions.
Our comprehensive Driver Training Programme, covering all aspects of 4WD vehicle operation, aims to enable 4WD users to understand and improve the skills required to safely and competently operate their vehicles with the minimum impact on the environment, their vehicles and themselves.
Our Instructors have the knowledge and experience to provide in depth education about 4WD vehicles and off road driving, from basic sessions to advanced and speciality courses, featuring enjoyable learning focused on challenges and achievement.
This course caters for all levels of experience, from complete novices to long term off roaders.
Topics covered are how it all works, high/low, diffs, hubs, tyres, ABS traction aids, oOn road handling characteristics, vehicle recovery techniques, recovery equipment, safety, environmental considerations and off road driving which may include situations such as:
- Hill Climbs
- Descents
- Sidelings / Sideways slopes
- Sand
- Rivers & Streams
- Snow, Ice, etc
- Mud, Bogs & Swamps
- Rocky, rough ground
Morning and afternoon tea are provided. Bring your 4WD vehicle or arrange to hire a vehicle on the day.
